Newport & Jamestown Special Election: Dawn Euer Wins Convincingly

Dawn Euer collected 1,162 votes, City Clerk Tracy Nelson said.

NEWPORT, RI — Here are the Democratic Primary results, according to Newport City Clerk Tracy Nelson. Jamestown sent its results to Newport. The Board of Elections has certified the mail ballots. Only 73 Provisional ballots are still to be counted or disqualified, and they will not change the outcome.

Dawn Euer led at all the polling places and in the mail ballots. The big difference in the race was the Jamestown vote, which went overwhelmingly for her. She will face Republican Michael Smith, Independent Kimberly Ripoli, and Green Party Candidate Gregory Larson in the August special election.
