Donors Sought for Adopt A Family Holiday Giving Program

For many area families, a joyous holiday celebration is a dream. As they struggle to make ends meet for basic necessities, holiday gifts for the children and a festive meal are simply out of their means. You can help make the holidays so much brighter for a family!

Donors are needed to “adopt” Newport area families for this year’s holiday giving program. Will you or someone you know (maybe you and your co-workers) consider adopting a family this year?

Participating in the Adopt-A-Family holiday program is easy. Donors to the program receive a wish list and ages of the children in the family that they’re adopting for the holiday. Then they shop for the gifts and deliver them on a set day to a centralized location. Staff members from the Office of Volunteer Services distribute the gifts to the families.
