Drug Raid at Park Holm Wednesday
Police obtained a search warrant for Keishon McCants's Park Holm apartment after they received information he was selling drugs there.

NEWPORT, RI—Police raided an apartment at 230 Park Holm on Wednesday morning at 8:46 a.m. after obtaining a search warrant from the court. Informants had told police that Keishon McCants, 19, of Newport, was selling drugs (cocaine, marijuana and Xanax) from that address. Officers arranged a "controlled purchase," which they photographed, and then on Monday went to the judge for the warrant.
The raid turned up three ounces of marijuana, 16 Xanax pills, two digital scales, $674 in cash, and large gallon plastic bags sometimes used with pound-size drug sales, police allege. The bags were tested and came back with marijuana residue.
McCants was taken to court as a bail violator, police said. He was charged with two felonies for manufacturing, possessing, delivering the drugs.
