Empire Tea & Coffee. . .And Juice?

For , one of its only constants is change. Whether it’s a new Lite-Brite table set, the ever-changing art on the walls or rearranging the feng shui of its furniture every few months, it’s rarely ever the same coffee shop twice.

One of the newest additions is a tell-tale sign of spring, in the form a giant orange juicer. The juicer serves up freshly squeezed juice, which is the main ingredient in one of Empire’s most delicious new menu additions.

The orange creamiscle is a simple concoction with few ingredients, part squeezed orange juice, part vanilla bean smoothie with some sugar and ice. For the creamsicle, less is definitely more.

“It is creamy and amazing now that we use the fresh squeezed juice,” owner CJ Barone said. “I'm glad to hear that people are noticing the new additions. We are having a lot of fun with all the changes.”

Barone said Empire will welcome even more additions in the coming months, including freshly squeezed lemonade and grapefruit juice, and “maybe a surprise or two along the way.”

Empire has also recently introduced a brew bar, which specializes in hand-crafted coffees.
