Euer Sworn In As Rhode Island State Senator
Dawn Euer will represent Jamestown and Newport as the District 13 state senator.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Sen. Dawn Euer was sworn into the Rhode Island Senate today.
Senator Euer, a Democrat who represents District 13 in Newport and Jamestown, was surrounded by family, friends, legislators and other dignitaries as she took the oath of office, administered by Secretary of State Nellie M. Gorbea in the Senate Lounge.

Senator Euer, a lawyer who lives in Newport, was elected Aug. 22 in a special election to replace former Senate President M. Teresa Paiva Weed, who resigned in the spring to take a new position as president of the Hospital Association of Rhode Island.
After her swearing-in, Senate President Dominick Ruggerio announced that he has appointed her to the Senate Committee on Commerce, the Senate Committee on Environment and Agriculture and the Senate Committee on Rules, Government Ethics and Oversight.
