2010 J/80 World Championship

J/80 Worlds a Clean Regatta

The 2010 J/80 Worlds, taking place October 3 to October 8, will be participating in the Clean Regattas program.

J/80 Worlds to be in Downtown Newport

Newport, former home of the America's Cup and host of numerous world and national sailing championships, is also one of the most picturesque seaside resort towns in the world. After measuring and launching at the Sail Newport Sailing Center, the J/80 fleet and regatta headquarters will move downtown to the Newport Yachting Center, located on America's Cup Avenue, just steps from Newport's favorite restaurants and watering holes.

The Newport Yachting Center hosts numerous events throughout the year, including the Nantucket Nectars Sunset Music Series, Newport Summer Comedy Series, the Newport International Boat Show and the International Oktoberfest which starts on October 9th.

On-Line Registration is Open

J/80 sailors can now register for the World Championship by clicking on the Registration menu above and following the On-Line Registration tab to the yachtscoring.com registration site.  Registration will remain open through September 15, with a late entry fee applying for entries received after September 1st.  Please see the Official Notice of Race for updated scheduling and venue information.

• Friday, October 8: Racing/Crew Dinner/Closing Ceremony
