Ancient Order of Hibernians - 135th Annivesary Celebration

Newport’s Dennis E. Collins Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians celebrates the 135th anniversary of its chapter’s founding this month.  A family-oriented event, to which the public is warmly invited, will kick off festivities on Friday, September 16 at 6:00 p.m. at Hibernian Hall, 2 Wellington Avenue, Newport, just off Lower Thames Street.

  • 6:00 pm - Hot dog & Hamburger cookout with all the fixings.
  • 7:00 pm - Traditional Irish Music Session with: Tim May, Jack Wright and Bob Drouin. 
  • Cash Bar
  • Suggested Donation: $5 per person. Family donations are gratefully accepted. 

Proceeds will benefit the Newport St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, the independent, non-profit group that produces the parade each March.

  • Reservations NOT required.
  • Hibernian Hall is wheelchair accessible.
