The walk is 4 miles. There is a registration fee of $10. Pre-registration is appreciated, but not required. Registration begins at 8:00 am, with the walk beginning at 8:30 am. The walk serves a fundraiser and as an opportunity to let the community know about TAM and the services it provides to our community. Walkers are encouraged to get sponsors. Walkers may obtain sponsorship envelopes by contacting TAM via email or telephone. There will be various gifts given to the walkers.
Turning Around Ministries (TAM) is a faith-based community outreach organization that serves the residents of Newport County. TAM provides services in the following areas: case management, mentoring, recovery support, housing, transportation, financial assistance for education, utilities and medical issues, clothing, and food.
