The Big Read Walking Tour
Meet at Kingscote, 253 Bellevue Avenue, Newport at 10am
The Bellevue Avenue National Historic Landmark District is home to some of the finest 19th and early 20th century buildings in America. Caitlin Emery, Museum Programs Coordinator for The Preservation Society of Newport County, will lead this tour to explore the historic significance and the remarkable stories of preservation and loss on one of America’s most legendary streets. This event is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts as part of The Big Read, a national effort to encourage community-wide reading projects.
