The Book Buddies Book Club is the Newport Public Library's book club for kids in grades 3, 4 and 5. Registration is required.
The club meets monthly in the John Clarke Children's Program Room to discuss a popular children's book and participate in a related activity. Children should read the book in advance so that a discussion can take place. Snacks are provided.
September's book is Falling In by Francis O'Roark Dowell: Middle-schooler Isabelle Bean follows a mouse's squeak into a closet and falls into a parallel universe where the children believe she is the witch they have feared for years, finally come to devour them.
