DIDI SUYDAM CONTEMPORARY is proud to present paintings of Georgia Marsh. Sophisticated defined single floral motifs, incredibly detailed yet minimal, are juxtaposed next to bold texturized blocks of color.
Born in Olean, NY, Ms. Marsh, with a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1972, has had numerous solo exhibitions in the U.S., Paris and Italy and is the recipient of many awards and fellowships, including two National Endowment for the Arts (Drawing, Painting). She currently resides in NY and has a second home in Jamestown, RI.
An opening reception will be held Friday, Sept., 17th, from 6-8 p.m., at Didi Suydam Contemporary's new location this year at 25 Mill Street, just off America's Cup Ave. in the gallery in the red-brick former firehouse across from the side of Trinity Church. The exhibit will run three weeks, through the first week of October.
