NCF 2020 Vision Series: The Economy

The Newport County Fund and the Newport Daily News co-sponsor an annual series of public programs on topics of countywide interest that includes a popular annual breakfast with Newport County legislators.

The convenings provide a unique forum for civic engagement on a variety of subjects by encouraging meaningful conversations and exchange within the community.

In 2010, the public forum series, 2020 Vision, will allow Newport County residents to articulate goals for their communities for the next 10 years in several vital areas. Each forum will feature a keynote speaker and break-out sessions to allow participants to explore subtopics, culminating in a report on goals and priorities in each area.

Forums will be held for three consecutive weeks in September at Salve Regina University's Pell Center.
