Salve Regina University's Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy will host a lecture given by Hayat Alvi, an associate professor in the national security affairs department at the U.S. Naval War College. He will discuss "Anger and Awakening in the Middle East: Blood, Discipline and Determination in the Arab Spring" wiht a focus on the socioeconomic and political factors that gave rise to the Arab Spring while also reviewing current affairs and discussing his thoughts on the future direction of the region.
