Positively Newport Schools Public Forum on the Pell School Building

The Forum will feature a panel discussion of local experts in construction, school design, and construction management to explore cost efficiencies that might be applied to the Pell School to help meet the construction budget. 

The community is invited to participate in this roundtable to discuss potential alternatives to cuts the school architect HMFH proposed to the Newport School Committee.

The School Committee has asked for ideas from the community to reduce the construction budget by $4 million.  This panel of experts will provide information, engage with the community to discuss the feasibility of suggested alternatives, and advise on steps to move forward to build a great school within the budget.
