The Great Gatsby Experience

The Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center is hosting Newport’s The Great Gatsby Experience, with the screening of Robert Redford and Mia Farrow’s movie, and a tour of the Rosecliff Mansion where it all happened.

This takes place two separate dates: Aug. 7 and Aug. 21.
Admission : Film (includes Continental Breakfast): $12
Admission: Film, Continental Breakfast & Tour: $20

Nick Carraway, a young Midwesterner living on Long Island, finds himself fascinated by the mysterious past and lavish lifestyle of his landlord, the nouveau riche Jay Gatsby. He is drawn into Gatsby's circle, becoming a witness to obsession and ultimately, tragedy.

The JPT will take its guests back to the Twenties when romance seemed so divine, starting in the morning by watching Robert Redford and Mia Farrow star in the Award-winning 1974 movie at the Jane Pickens Theater - a magnificent historic theater that was actually a part of Newport life in the 1920s. Then, strolling the beautiful grounds of the Rosecliff Mansion - where The Great Gatsby was filmed - and experience how high society lived and loved.

Guests will arrive at the fashionably early time of 10:45pm for breakfast and film will start at 11AM. Dress as they are or as they imagine it to be in the '20s!

Mansion tours are daily from 9AM to 5PM – guests can choose their time.
