Town Howlers Square Dance Club of Portsmouth celebrates their 60th anniversary with a dance in the Rotunda on Easton’s Beach in Newport. The dance will be held from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Admission for experienced dancers is $20.00 per person with a light lunch furnished. Spectators are welcome at no charge.
The Town Howlers are the oldest square dance club in New England and dance on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month at the Portsmouth Multi-Purpose Senior Center.
Classes for beginners begin, with an introduction to square dancing, on September 18 and 25 at the senior center from 6:00 to 8:00. For information call 401 849-6266 or 401 683-3553.
