Most of the state saw just a coating of snow overnight, though a few areas had measurable accumulation.

Rhode Island saw the first snowfall of 2021 Sunday night, leaving a light coating heading into the first workweek of the year.

A few communities did see measurable accumulation, according to the National Weather Service. Here's a look at measured snowfall totals:

  • West Warwick: 0.7 inches 7:26 a.m. Monday
  • Cumberland: 0.5 inches 8 p.m. Sunday

Another chance of snow is possible Tuesday night. The rest of the week is expected to be clear and chilly, with temperatures in the mid-40s.
