Five Spectacular Halloween Houses Near Home

WARREN, RI — So, it's kind of a scavenger hunt for houses with over the top Halloween decorations. And it's also a bit of a research project -- unpaid, of course.

But MapMuse, a website based in Reston, Va., has put Rhode Island on its Halloween map and wants you to let the company know if the ones they picked are still open and where to hunt, if you find any better ones.

"Halloween is beginning to rival Christmas when it comes to house decorations," said Mike Pilon. "Every year there seems to be more houses that are decorated over the top for Halloween. It's a treat for kids and adults alike. So to help others find great Halloween displays, MapMuse has been researching and compiling information about Halloween Displays and Decorations Worth a Visit."

They have the experience because for more than 10 years, they've put the best Christmas and holiday light shows on the map.

"Now," Pilon said, as far as Halloween goes, "this is just a start and we are hoping that it becomes as popular as our Christmas lights display listings and maps by having people contribute information about great Halloween decorations that they know about as well."
