Governor Raimondo Serving as Honorary Chairperson of Seaside Gala

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is pleased to announce that Rhode Island Governor Gina M. Raimondo will serve as the Honorary Event Chairperson of its 16th Annual Seaside Gala set for June 13th at Castle Hill Inn in Newport. The agency will also present its 2019 Public Service Award to Governor Raimondo in honor of her vision and leadership in expanding early childhood education, improving addiction treatment and recovery programs, and ensuring that all Rhode Islanders have access to quality healthcare.

Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island is the event’s Leading Corporate Sponsor. Other sponsors already providing support are Castle Hill Inn and BankNewport.

EBCAP delivers primary, behavioral and dental health services along with a wide array of human services to over 30,000 residents of Rhode Island’s east bay including the cities/towns of: East Providence, Barrington, Warren, Bristol, Little Compton, Tiverton, Portsmouth, Middletown, Newport and Jamestown.

Receiving 2019 Vision Awards for their outstanding service to EBCAP are: Sergeant Jason Canario of the Warren, RI Police Department; Tyler Pare, Roger Williams University Law Student (‘19); and community newspaper, Newport This Week.

Event reservations are $100 each for people taking advantage of the “Early Bird” pricing (purchase by May 16) and are on sale now on ebcap.org (under “Events”).

An online auction, offering a variety of dining, hotel stays, travel, family fun, sports tickets, spa, and sporting packages, is available for preview now at biddingforgood.com/EBCAP. Featured items will include a 7-day Holland America Line Cruise for two people, a round of golf for four people at Newport Country Club, and a one-week stay in August at the Wyndham Inn on the Harbor in Newport. The auction will open May 30th and close on June 13th. All are welcome to register and bid. Guests will be able to use their mobile devices to continue the bidding during the event.

Music will be provided by The Larry Brown Swinglane Orchestra. This 19-piece orchestra will entertain guests with its Big Band stylings. Water’s Edge Flowers in Newport, RI will prepare floral arrangements.
