We will have partial lane and shoulder closures on Route 138A, including America’s Cup Avenue, from Bridge Street to Thames Street, and Memorial Boulevard, from Thames Street to Bellevue Avenue, weekdays from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Activities will include installing traffic loops, cleaning and flushing drainage pipes and catch basins, and preparing for striping.

We are working toward completion of the first segment of our project from Farewell Street to Marlborough Street on the east side of Broadway. We anticipate finishing this segment in early to mid-July and then moving to the next section from Spring Street to Kilburn Street.

Next week, our operations will involve installation of electrical and communication conduit and structures, removal and stockpiling of inactive gas street lights, curbing removal in preparation for sidewalk and curb replacement, and completion of drainage in the first segment.

New Traffic Pattern

Broadway, from Marlborough Street to Farewell Street, remains one-way southbound and parking is restricted. Traffic from Courthouse Way should go straight onto Farewell Street then right onto Marlborough Street to access Broadway. Get Detour Map»

Temporary Road Closure

Stone Street, from Broadway to Spring Street, is closed for construction through late June. To access Spring Street from Broadway, follow detour signs through Washington Square. Get Detour Map»

Happy driving, walking, biking, rolling, strolling, however you get around.
