The Hermoine is About to Arrive in Newport
Newport is a stop on a tour up the New England Coast for L'Hermoine, a replica of a pivotal vessel in the American revolutionary cause.

A faithful replica of LβHermoine, the 212-foot vessel that brought Marquis de Lafayette to General George Washington during the American Revolution to pledge Franceβs support for the American cause, is coming to Newport this week.
LβHermoine will dock at Fort Adams on July 8 and 9 and will be open for public tours following a soaring parade of ships on the Hudson River in New York over the July 4 weekend.
The voyage is part of an epic journey to recreate Lafayetteβs storied journey in the 18th century and βwill celebrate the enduring relationship forged between the United States and France during our revolution,β organizers said.
