Hiding in a Holly Bush, Newport Man Arrested for Car Break-Ins
Police believe he's one of the people stealing cash and other items from cars and say residents must be vigilant and lock their vehicles.

NEWPORT, RI—A Spring Street resident wanted to see if any new snow had fallen around 5 a.m. on Monday, so he looked out his second floor window.
According to police, he saw a man in his driveway. The man was dressed in dark clothes and a dark hood and was attempting to open his car door. It was locked; so when he couldn't open that car, he attempted to enter the car next to it.
When police arrived, the street seemed empty, but they heard a rustling sound coming from a holly bush at the next door home. They looked closer and saw a brown gloved hand and a man squeezed in between the shrub and the house.
