Hit and Run Damages Bridal Shop, Suspect Sought
Police are looking for a dark SUV that caused the accident and sent a Mercedes into Adria Bird Bride.
Repairs are beginning at Adria Bird Bride on Monday after a hit and run accident sent a white Mercedes SUV into the shop Sunday afternoon.
Newport police are now looking for the driver of the car that caused the accident, which damaged the building along with the Mercedes.
Fortunately, nobody was hurt.

Firefighters said that the driver of the white SUV had picked up a group of friends when she was struck at around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.
She was then struck by a dark colored SUV, which sent her car spinning sideways and into the shop.

The building was roped off for most of Sunday as officials checked the building’s integrity. Along with the store being blocked off, several apartments above the shop were off-limits to several residents.
