Tropical Storm Henri Closes RI COVID Testing, Vaccination Sites

State officials said they will monitor the tropical storm and assess whether sites will reopen or remain closed Monday, Aug. 23.

NEWPORT, RI — All Rhode Island-run COVID-19 testing and vaccination sites are closed Sunday, in anticipation of Tropical Storm Henri.

State officials said they will monitor the tropical storm and assess whether sites will reopen or remain closed Monday, Aug. 23.

When test sites reopen, people who had appointments canceled due to weather will not need to make new appointments. They can go to the site where their appointment was scheduled with a print or screenshot of their confirmation notice, and they will be tested.

People who had vaccination appointments scheduled Sunday will be contacted about making a new appointment.
