James Taylor To Return To Rhode Island In July

NEWPORT, R.I. -- Legendary singer/songwriter James Taylor will be returning to Rhode Island this summer to headline the IYRS Summer Gala on July 6.

The gala serves as a major fundraiser for the IYRS School of Technology and Trades, a non-profit, post-secondary school in Newport.

Previous performances have included KC and The Sunshine Band in 2018, Kool and the Gang in 2017 and other notable names over the years.

Individual tickets cost $500 to be a "supporter" or $1,000 for "contributors." Tables for four can be purchased as well, ranging from $5,000 to $25,000.

Along with the performance from Taylor, the event will include a cocktail hour and silent auction, live and reverse auctions during dinner and dancing following Taylor's performance.

Taylor visited Rhode Island this past weekend, ending his two-year tour with Bonnie Raitt at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence on Saturday night.
