Jamestown To Hold Memorial Day Parade On Monday

The Newport-based Ancient Order of Hibernians Pipes and Drums will also march.

JAMESTOWN, RI — Looking for a parade on Monday? Jamestown has one stepping off at 10 a.m. from the corner of Watson and Lawn avenues, near the Lawn Avenue School. All veterans can march, either in civilian clothes or in uniform, along with civic groups. The community band will play. Newport's Ancient Order of Hibernians Pipes and Drums will also march.

The parade route travels from Watson and Lawn to North Road. There is a brief stop by the historic Four Corners cemetery near the corner of North Road and Narragansett Avenue. From there, it turns down Narragansett and travels to the waterfront Veterans Memorial Square at East Ferry.
