Jeffrey Goss Appointed Rogers High School Principal

The School Committee appointed Goss to lead the city's high school. He currently is the assistant principal at Classical High School.

The Newport School Committee this week appointed Jeffrey Goss to lead William S. Rogers High School as its next principal

Goss comes to Newport after serving as assistant principal at Classical High School in Providence since 2012. Before that, he served 15 years in Portsmouth, including eight as assistant principal at Portsmouth High School.

Goss is a 1991 graduate of Springfield College and was a basketball and football player. His sporting career continued after college and he worked for the Pawtucket Red Sox before becoming a teacher in 1997.
