Jimmy's Saloon Cited for Noise Violation
The music coming from the back patio after 5 a.m was over the decibel limit, but the restaurant was closed.

NEWPORT, RI — A music system malfunction turned on the music at Jimmy's Saloon sometime after the Memorial Boulevard establishment had closed for the night. Police said no one was on the premises when officers arrived around 5:24 a.m.
Police said loud music was playing from a speaker on the back patio.
An employee was contacted after police took sound readings from Merton Avenue and determined the noise was over the limit.

Mark Brennan, 55, told police there had been problems with the music system rebooting.
He was given a summons at 5:53 a.m. for a noise violation.
