Newport Lawyer Debuts Radio Show this Saturday

is about to hit the airwaves.

Hagan’s new half-hour talk radio show, Law Talk, debuts this Saturday at 9:30 a.m. on WADK 1540 AM.

His show will focus on constitutional law and current events issues like healthcare reform, immigration and how law affects society, especially Newport County, he said.

“I’m going to talk about local issues that affect Newport in terms of cases that come up,” he said, adding he will discuss high-profile local criminal, zoning and civil cases.

For his first foray into radio, Hagan will discuss the crisis of how too many law students are currently in law school.

“There are more students in law school than there are lawyers. What does that do to the legal community,” he said, previewing his debut discussion.

He will have guests on his show, featuring local attorneys and members of the Newport Police Department.

Hagan said that while he will not receive calls or questions, listeners can email him questions or topics they would like to hear addressed during the show.

Hagan also teaches constitutional law at CCRI.
