NEWPORT, R.I. – On Tuesday, June 7, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Newport Hospital will offer the community lecture, “What is Patient-Centered Primary Care?” Family nurse practitioner Anne Neuville, APRN-CNP, will talk about the individualized care available through patient-centered primary care.
“This is about putting the patient first in the form of one-on-one care that helps to maintain and improve their health and well-being,” said Neuville. “By taking the time to give our patients coordinated, comprehensive preventive care, we can promote their good health and at the same time, work to prevent more serious illness.”
The Newport Hospital free lecture series, now in its second year, gives the community a chance to talk directly with hospital clinicians while learning about various health issues. The lecture on June 7 will be held at the Tiverton Public Library on 34 Roosevelt Ave., Tiverton. Registration is not required, however seating is limited. To reserve a seat, call 401-845-1492 or sign up online at www.newporthospital.org. Light refreshments will be provided and free blood pressure screenings will be offered from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
