Learn your "Bird Feeding Basics" this Thursday!

Join NBS educator and avid birder Matt Schenck for a fun interactive program designed to cover a wide range of topics.

Watching birds at a backyard feeder is a great way to learn about bird identification and behavior while also helping birds survive the harshest months of the year. This interactive program will cover a wide range of topics, from seeds to storage, to help transform your back yard into a winter oasis for our feathered friends. We will even have an opportunity for your family to make a bird feeder out of natural materials!

Matt Schenck, Education Assistant/Camp Director, is an avid birder. He studied Outdoor Management and Environmental Education at Lock Haven University. Matt has naturalist and education experience spanning from Colorado, Georgia, and Pennsylvania up to New England.
