Please join us on Sunday, September 13 at 2:30 pm for a fascinating free talk on professional exhibition lighting by Sandra Liotus and Sir David J. Crampton-Barden, principals and co-owners of Sandra Liotus Lighting Design. Liotus and Crampton-Barden are experts who design, engineer and create systems for private and public collections. Learn about the unique glass fiber optic technology currently employed in the Van Alen Gallery. Examples of the lighting system will be available for examination.

Goals for lighting always include preserving and protecting the fine art for future generations as well as lighting art so that the vivid colors, clarity, and textures are fully recognized. Lighting solutions should not damage the art or artifact with light and should keep all harmful heat (IR) and ultra violet (UV) away from the display.

Sandra Liotus Lighting Design, LLC, is the only lighting company invited to exhibit at TEFAF (The European Fine Art Fair) and has been awarded an affiliate membership at the APAA (Association of Professional Art Advisors). Its client list includes the Rockefeller Collection, the New York Yacht Club Collection, David Tunick Inc., and the Ed and Deborah Shein Collection.
