Man Arrested 4 Times In 1 Day: Newport Police Arrest Log

NEWPORT, RI — The following people were arrested by Newport police between Sept. 10 and Sept. 11.

Names of those arrested or the town they reside in were only omitted when not provided by police.

Sept. 10

7:20 p.m. — Dennis Shannon, 52, Newport, was charged with drinking/possession of an open container of alcohol.

Sept. 11

2 a.m. — Shane Peter, 39, of Newport, was charged with beaches, parks and cliff walk closing.

6:30 a.m. — Berritta Ledo, 45, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was arrested on a warrant.

11:24 a.m. — Paul Zazzaro, 52, of Newport, was charged with larceny/shoplifting/receiving or possessing stolen goods as a habitual offender and misdemeanor shoplifting.

Noon — Carissa, Giroux, 30, was charged with violating a no-contact order.

1:22 p.m. — Paul Zazzaro, 52, of Newport, was charged with larceny/shoplifting/receiving or possessing stolen goods as a habitual offender and larceny under $1,500.

1:34 p.m. — Paul Zazzaro, 52, of Newport, was charged with larceny/shoplifting/receiving or possessing stolen goods as a habitual offender and larceny under $1,500.

1:39 p.m. — Paul Zazzaro, 52, of Newport, was charged with misdemeanor receiving stolen goods.

1:45 p.m. — Robert Ward, 63, of Newport, was charged with vandalism/malicious injury to property and disorderly conduct.

3:39 p.m. — Kyle Bento, 38, of Cranston, was charged with three Rhode Island Superior Court warrants, a warrant from another police department, and willful trespassing.
