Man Charged after Blocking Library Doors

Police were called to the scene after a library staff member said the man had been sitting in the parking lot all day and had become increasingly agitated as the day wore on.

Police charged Kyle D’Ambrosio, no address specified, with disorderly conduct at around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday after he allegedly blocked the east entrance to the library on Spring Street.

Police were called to the scene after a library staff member said D’Ambrosio had been sitting in the parking lot all day long and had become increasingly agitated as the day wore on.

D'Ambrosio told police he had a lot of guns in his pockets and was about to “duck hunt” and then said he would use his wheelchair to injure the officer’s ankles.

D’Ambrosio reportedly became combative as police attempted to take him into custody as well as during the booking process at police headquarters.

A small bag of marijuana was found in his pocket while at headquarters, leading to an additional citation for marijuana possession. D’Ambrosio was later released with a July 17 court date.
