A sure sign that summer has ended -- Newport Police reported just one arrest over the weekend (aside from someone being picked up on a warrant.)
Police charged Robert Isaac Flores, 24, of 17 John Chafee Blvd., with disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting with another man on Memorial Blvd. near Jimmy’s Saloon early Monday morning.
Police said officers had just arrested another man on a warrant and Flores was among a large crowd of people outside the establishment after closing time.

Flores then reportedly yelled at police before arguing with another man. Flores then walked up to that man, tried to hit him, but missed.
Police took Flores into custody and he was held overnight for arraignment later on Monday.
