Man Cited after Punching Ex-Girlfriend's New Boyfriend
The victim suffered minor injuries and said he didn't want to press charges.
Police cited Joshua Vannoy, 31, of 18 Everett St., Newport, for fighting on Monday after he allegedly punched a man in the face several times in front of the Fast Net Pub.
Police said an officer nearby was waved over by several people after the incident and Vannoy reportedly admitted to punching his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend, saying he was sorry.
The victim told police that he was leaving the pub when Vannoy walked over and punched him two or three times for no reason.
