Man Cited for Shouting Vulgarities at Women on Broadway

Police said Devon McNeal, 19, yelled demeaning things at a group of women on Broadway early Friday morning.

A 19-year-old with no permanant address was cited for disorderly conduct after he allegedly shouted vulgarities at a group of women on Broadway early Friday morning.

Police said Devon McNeal, 19, caught the attention of police as he crossed Broadway near the police station at around 12:30 a.m.

An officer on patrol reported seeing McNeal cross and he allegedly “slowed his pace as he crossed in front of my patrol car and I yelled to him to move,” according to a police report.

A group of nearby women waved down the officer and said that McNeal had been harrasing them.

They said that when he walked by he called them “dirty,” “sluts” and referred to female human anatomy.

When the women said they’d call police McNeal reportedly said “go ahead, call them!”

The officer drove by a short time later and McNeal was located a short distance away He said that he simply told the women that “they looked beautiful tonight,” police said.

McNeal was summonsed to appear in Municipal Court on Aug. 31 and was sent on his way.
