MNH Adult Programs: Primate Symbolism in Western African Art

Explore the art and artifacts of various Western African cultures and see how representations of monkeys and apes are used symbolically to enhance medicinal or magical properties of the objects. Museum docent Heather Field will be your guide with objects from the museum’s extensive African ethnographic collection. Please note: Vaults accessible by stairs only.
