National Grid President Collapses During Press Conference

National Grid RI's spokesman tweeted later Tuesday night that Horan was being released from Rhode Island Hospital.

Rhode Island National Grid President Tim Horan collapsed Tuesday evening during Governor Gina Raimondo's press conference to update the public on the gas outage situation in Newport. Horan was transported to Rhode Island Hospital and was later released.

"Happy to report that Tim Horan is doing well and will be released from the hospital shortly," tweeted Ted Kresse, Director of Communication for Rhode Island National Grid. Kresse added that Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer Terry Soblewski will be taking on Horan's duties on a temporary basis.

According to a Facebook post by WPRI, Horan "appeared to become woozy and fell." Others commented that Horan's speech became slurred and incoherent just before he collapsed.
