Newport Artist Featured at AS220
Sue McNally's compelling landscapes and abstract paintings offer a feast of color in the midst of this cold and monochrome winter.

Newport artist Sue McNally’s lush landscape paintings are on display at AS220’s Project Space now until Feb. 28.
It might be worth a look, considering he works will offer your mind some green in the midst of this dreary winter. Consider ”Cow Pond,” of which Bill Van Siclen, Providence Journal arts writer, said “while the view is fairly conventional, the color choices, which range from deep aqua to acid green to neon orange, give the painting an almost hallucinatory quality. The result is a Hudson River School scene as Van Gogh or Matisse might have painted it.”
McNally’s work has been exhibited around the country. She has lived most of her life in New England. Check out more of her paintings here.
