Newport Bicycle Gets a Colorful Paint Job

Have you noticed that Dr. Marcus Wheatland Boulevard is a lot more colorful lately?

Artist Reva Golden — recently moved back to Boulder, CO., after completing the work — completed a mural on the street-side wall of last Sunday, owner Christina Erwin said. The mural depicts the best of both bicycling and Newport, including a bicyclist, the Newport Bridge, waves and the Route 138 sign.

Golden's artwork was completed just in time to inspire the community to participate in taking place all day on Friday, May 18.
