Newport Bridge Lane Closure Schedule: July 22 Through 26

NEWPORT, RI — The next phase of construction on the Newport Pell Bridge is just a few weeks away. In the meantime, Phase One construction continues, meaning more lane closures throughout the week. Here's what to expect if you're headed into Newport this week.

All week until Thursday, the right lane on both sides will be closed during the overnight hours, from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the left lane will be closed on the eastbound side from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m.

During the day on Wednesday, the both open road tolling gantries and the left lane will be closed from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on both sides.
