Newport Chamber Of Commerce Holding February Food Drive

The "Ton of Love" food drive will benefit the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center.

NEWPORT, RI — The Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce is holding a "Ton of Love" food drive throughout the month of February, to benefit the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center. Non-perishable food, toiletries, paper goods and more.

The following items are needed:

  • Canned soups
  • Canned meats
  • Canned vegetables
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Cereal
  • Condiments
  • Peanut butter
  • Jelly
  • Grocery store gift cards
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Personal care items
  • Paper goods
  • Toiletries

Donations can be dropped off at locations around Newport, Middletown, Portsmouth, Tiverton and Jamestown from Feb. 1 through 29. A full list of drop-off locations is available in the flyer below.
