Newport Comedy Series is Coming Back this Summer

This is not a joke. The comedy series is coming to the Newport Hyatt on Goat Island.

Fans of the Newport Comedy Series can rejoice β€” it’s coming back this summer.

A casualty of the closing of the Newport Yachting Center last year, the comedy series was looking for a new home for months.

On Monday, the organizers announced an arrangement with the Newport Hyatt on Goat Island to bring the popular comedy series back for a 15th year.

β€œWe are excited about staging the Series in the Hyatt’s beautiful, comfortable and climate controlled ballroom. We have done shows there in the past and it’s a great room for events,” said Joe Rocco, founder and president of the Newport Comedy Series in a post on the Whats’s Up Newp website.

Two shows have been scheduled so far. Paula Poundstone and Natasha Leggero will perform β€” the first of two performers to sign on so far.
