Newport Community Band Concert Moved to Thursday
Rainy weather prompted the bump from Wednesday to Thursday.
If you had plans ot catch the Newport Community Band Concert Wednesday night in Ballard Park’s quarry meadow, it’s time to make alternate plans.
The concert has been rescheduled to Thursday night thanks to the rainy weather in the forecast through Wednesday night.
We don’t want the great music to be drowned out by the thunder, right?

The Newport Community Band is a forty-member symphonic band. They’re sponsored by the Department of Performing Arts and Salve Regina University and their shows are nothing short of spectacular.
Membership is open to Newport-area residents including high school and Salve Regina students.

Sit on the grass, bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the show. Arrive about 15 minutes before the show to make sure you can park and get a nice spot without much hassle.
Music is set to begin at 8:30 p.m., Thursday, July 9.
Use Hazard Road entrance.
