Newport Folk Festival Adds Beck to 2013 Lineup

Newport Folk Festival announced Tuesday that Beck has been added to the 2013 artist lineup.

"I like Beck’s new work without any accompanying instruments. Good songwriter. Good singer. Please welcome him to this year’s festival,” said American folk singer Pete Seeger.

Over the last month, the Newport Folk Festival has been announcing its 2013 lineup one artist at a time.  This year's festival will take place from July 26- July 28.  Beck is scheduled on Sunday, July 28.

Previously announced artists are: Feist, The Avett Brothers, Jim James, The Decemberists’ Colin Meloy, Andrew Bird, The Mountain Goats, The Lumineers, Father John Misty, Old Crow Medicine Show, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy and Dawn McCarthy, Justin Townes Earle, Beth Orton, Amanda Palmer, Phosphorescent, Jason Isbell, Deer Tick’s John McCauley and Hey Marseilles.
