Newport Irish Museum 14th Lecture Series Begins with "How to Obtain your Irish Citizenship"

The enriching Michael F. Crowley Lecture Series is an annual tradition at the museum and it enters its 14th year this year, kicking off next Wednesday (Sept. 9) at the fabled International Tennis Hall of Fame with Guest Speaker Barbara (Lepley) Roy.
Roy will walk attendees through the process, from filling all the requirements to to the benefits, both practical and sentimental.

Roy, a Newport County native with two maternal grandparents born in Ireland, has been an Irish citizen since 2007. She has helped many with this process, including the required interaction with the Irish Consulate Office.
Lecture attendees should enter the Tennis Hall of Fame complex via the archway at 194 Bellevue Avenue where they will be directed to an elevator to the second floor lecture venue, which is fully accessible. Following the talk, a reception with light hors d’oeuvres will be held and a cash bar is available, courtesy of the La Forge Casino Restaurant.
The lecture fee is $3 for Museum of Newport Irish History members and $15 for non-members, which may be applied to the annual membership fee. All are welcome. Reservations are required.
