NEWPORT, RI — A Newport man was indicted after he molested a child five times in Portsmouth, Attorney General Peter Neronha's office said Wednesday.Jose Vega, 52, was charged Friday by a Newport County grand jury with five counts of first-degree child molestation. According to prosecutors, the molestations happened between May 2, 2012, and May 2, 2017.Vega is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Newport County Superior Court.Have a news tip? Michale Langlois is a performing arts professional based in New London with decades of experience as a director and acting coach. He offers personalized coaching to help people build confidence in public speaking and shape compelling story lines. Michael has been the Artistic Director of the New London-Based Ashford Youth Theatre for 20 years and he designs and implement programming for Flock Theatre Company, also in New London.
