Newport Man Charged With Obstructing Officer, Resisting Arrest
The Newport man was investigated by the state police and arrested by the Newport police, according to a media release.
NEWPORT, RI — A Newport man was charged with obstructing an officer and resisting arrest, police said.
Israel Dyer, 27, was arrested about 8 p.m. Sunday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
"The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Wickford Barracks and the Newport Police Department subsequently locating" Dyer, the release said.

Dyer was processed at the Wickford Barracks, arraigned and released with a notice to appear in court, according to police.
