Newport Snow Day: Parking Ban Announced & Curbside Pickup On One Day Delay & No School
The ban starts at noon on Thursday.
NEWPORT, RI — The parking ban goes into effect Thursday at 12 noon.
There will be a “Parking Ban” in effect at 12:00 PM (noon) Thursday, 2/9/2017, until Thurs 2/9/2017 at 11:59 pm., due to the forecast snow pic.twitter.com/hktCPAOhtt

Also, there's no curbside pickup for garbage or recycling on Thursday, per the City.
All Waste Management residential collections will run on a one-day delay starting Thursday, Feb. 9. This will cause a delay for Thursday and Friday pick-ups.
